We are living in unusual times and are moving into unchartered territory. Many people have been asking what is happening regarding Church Services and Parish activities in light of the Coronavirus Covid-19 situation. For the time being, and until we are advised otherwise by the Public Health Agency, Church Services will continue as normal on Sundays and with our midweek Penitential Services. S-Club will also meet at the usual time on a Sunday morning. Many other activities will though be postponed for the time being in response to the concerns of those in the wider community. The Gospel Evening which was to be held in Ballymore on Sunday 22nd March has been cancelled.
The general advice is to please stay at home if you feel ill and display influenza–like symptoms. The symptoms to be aware of in the case of the coronavirus include cough, shortness of breath, difficulty in breathing, and fever. Do not come to Church Services until you feel well. We have to be mindful not just of our own health as individuals but also of the health of our neighbours. The elderly and those with underlying health concerns are very vulnerable to the coronavirus and so we have to be careful to protect the whole family.
Practical measures can make a real difference so good hygiene practices are important, including hand washing and the use of hand sanitizer gels.
If there are any updates or changes, they will be added to the Parish website and Facebook page.
