HARVEST THANKSGIVING: Decorating of the church for next weekend’s Harvest celebrations will take place on Thursday of this week a 10am 1- gifts of fruit, vegetables and flowers would be very much appreciated. Everyone is welcome to come along to help.

HARVEST FRY NIGHT FUNDRAISING: The money raised through the Harvest Fry Night this year will go to help in three different projects in Zimbabwe and Eswatini (formerly Swaziland) – after school meals at one of the care points; support for the elderly and disabled; and horticultural work which provides food. Saturday 19th October from 5.30pm – 7pm in the Parish Hall. Everyone welcome.

FOOD BANK: As part of our Harvest Thanksgiving weekend celebrations next weekend, parishioners are encouraged to donate some items of shopping from the list below to be included in a donation to our nearest Food Bank. Milk (UHT or powdered), Sugar (500g), Fruit juice (Long life carton), Soup, Pasta sauces, Sponge pudding (tinned), Tinned Tomatoes, Cereals, Tinned Rice pudding, Tea Bags/Instant Coffee, Instant mash potato, Rice/pasta, Tinned meat/fish, Tinned fruit, Jam, Biscuits or snack bar. Also gifts of pet food will be gratefully received for “creatures great and small” who are part of families where there is financial hardship at this time.

WALKMORE: The Parish Walking Club will meet on Wednesday 16th October at the Parish Hall at 10am. New members welcome.

CHOIR PRACTICE for the Harvest on Wednesday evening (16th October) from 7.30pm – 8.30pm for the Junior Choir and Parish Choir.

BALLYMORE BOWLING CLUB: Thursday 17th October at 7pm in the Parish Hall. Fun bowls for all ages and everyone is welcome. Come along and try it!

MOTHERS’ UNION: The next Branch meeting will take place on Thursday 17th October at 8pm in the Parish Hall. The evening is entitled “Listening to my Body” and the speaker will be Adam Hill. Ladies from the Parish and their friends will be very welcome.

BLACK BAG COLLECTION: Bags of unwanted clothes etc. can be left in the porch of the Parish Hall anytime during the next few weeks. All money raised will go to GFS funds.

COUNTRY & GOSPEL CONCERT in Ballymore Parish Hall on Thursday 7th November at 7.45pm sharp (Doors open 7pm). Compere: Brian Johnston. Featuring: Barry Stuart, Boxcar Brian, Eugene O’Dornan, Katie McParland and Country Harmony. Tickets: £10. Proceeds in aid of Alzheimer’s & Dementia and Church Funds.

SHOE BOX APPEAL: The Bible Study in conjunction with Drop Inn Ministries would like to encourage individuals and families to take part again this year in the special Team Hope Christmas Shoebox Appeal. All we ask is that you fill a shoebox with some small gifts for a child for Christmas and Team Hope will deliver them to Eastern Europe or Africa. All boxes from Ballymore should be brought to Church before Sunday 3rd November. You will find leaflets with information about what to include in your shoebox on the table in the Church porch. Your help and support with this project is very much appreciated.
CHARITY CRAFT GROUP are holding a coffee morning and sale on Saturday 9th November in the Parish Hall from 10.00am – 1.00pm. Please put the date in your diary. Your support will be very much appreciated.

ARCHBISHOP’S ROADSHOWS on the theme of “Living Well” will take place this year on Wednesday 6th & 13th November in Mullabrack Parish Hall starting each evening at 8pm. Everyone welcome.

CLARE PARISH HARVEST THANKSGIVING will take place this afternoon at 3.30pm in the Parish Church. As well as the Church being decorated for Harvest, the Church Hall will also be open for afternoon tea and refreshments after the Service. The Preacher will be the Revd Canon Brian Blacoe. Everyone welcome.
