GDPR: Back in September 2015 we started the massive task of updating our Parish database and in the months following tried to contact all our parishioners to make sure that we had the most up to date and accurate contact details for them. It was not an easy task and we got information for about 90% of the Parish. Since then the new General Data Protection Regulations came into law in the UK. We therefore now require the consent of every member of the Parish in order to hold those records and to be able to contact parishioners using their address or telephone number. Over the next number of months we will be producing a new GDPR consent form for every parishioner to complete and sign. The regulations state that everyone over the age of 13 must sign their own form and those under 13 must have their form signed by a parent or guardian. It will be a time consuming exercise but is now a legal requirement. More information will be provided in the next few weeks as to how we are going to administer the paperwork.

CHURCH ATTENDANCE CARDS for the year 2018/2019 should be handed in to whoever is stamping the cards in Church during the month of September. New cards are ready for collection and are available in the Church porch.

BLACK BAG COLLECTION: Bags of unwanted clothes, paired shoes and curtains can be left in the porch of the Parish Hall anytime during the next few weeks. No ripped or dirty clothes, ladies boots, quilts or pillows please. All money raised will go to GFS funds.

ARMAGH CATHEDRAL: The Dean and Chapter invite the clergy and people of the Diocese of Armagh to a Service of Choral Evensong on Sunday 22nd September 2019 at 3.15 p.m. to mark the 150th anniversary of the Disestablishment of the Church of Ireland. The Preacher at the Service will be the Right Revd Gregory Cameron, Bishop of St Asaph.

SAFEGUARDING TRUST: Our Parish is committed to the Church of Ireland Safeguarding Trust policy which sets standards for the welfare of all children involved in the ministry of the church with a view to protecting them. The parish panel members to whom any concerns can be brought to are the Rector, Garry Morton and Mrs Ann Poole. Their contact details are displayed on the notice boards in the Church and Parish Hall.

WEEKLY ANNOUNCEMENT SHEET: Information and articles to be included on the weekly announcement sheet should be sent to the Parish email address ballymore@armagh.anglican.org by Thursday evening. Thanks.
