FESTIVE REFRESHMENTS will be served in the Parish Hall immediately after the Carol Service this morning. Everyone welcome.

BABY BASICS: The aim of this project is to help new mothers who are struggling to meet the financial and practical needs of looking after a new baby. During the Christmas period we will be supporting this project by collecting items for the starter packs. Gifts of the following can be left in the baptistry between now and Christmas Day: First size nappies, baby wipes, baby shampoo, wash and lotion, baby towels and sponges, sheets for Moses basket, changing mats, knitted cardigans, new born baby clothes, blankets, baby vests and baby grows and toiletries for a new mum. Thank you in advance for your help and support.

FWO ENVELOPES: The new Freewill Offering Envelopes for 2020 are now ready for collection and distribution and can be found at the back of Church. Thanks.

FREEWILL OFFERING: Any parishioners who do not currently use Freewill Offering envelopes or monthly Standing Order and would like to do so, please contact Mrs Ann Liggett (Tel: 3884 1183) or Tom McCord (Tel: 3884 1021). All Freewill Offerings for 2019 must be received on or before the 31st December 2019 in order to be included in the accounts for the year 2019. This is due to the Charity Commission’s regulations.
GIFT AID allows the Parish to claim back 25% on Freewill Offerings or Donations from the Revenue Authorities when the donor pays at least the amount of Income Tax as the Gift Aid claimed in the relevant year. If you do not currently Gift Aid your offering and wish to do so, please contact Ann or Tom on the above numbers. For those who presently Gift Aid, thank you for your additional support. Please make sure you notify us should you no longer pay income tax, change your name or address, so that our records are up to date.

THE GENERAL DATA PROTECTION REGULATION (GDPR) took effect across Europe from 25 May 2018. It replaced the existing law on data protection and gave individuals more rights and protection in how their personal data is used by organisations. Personal data is information about a living person which is capable of identifying them. Parishes must comply with its requirements, just like any other charity or organisation and failure to do so can result in a large fine. Thank you to those who have completed and returned their GDPR form. If you haven’t yet completed and returned your form please do so before the end of December 2019. From the New Year our list of Ballymore parishioners will only contain the names of those who have signed and returned a GDPR form and provided us with written consent to hold their details. If you have mislaid your forms and need replacements please contact Linda McCord on 028 3884 1021 or email ballymore@armagh.anglican.org

REMINDER: In February each year the Revision of the General Vestry takes place. Only those people whose name appears on the list can vote at the Easter General Vestry Meeting or serve on the Select Vestry. Under new legislation adopted by the Diocesan Synod in October 2016 and approved by the Representative Body in December 2016 “any person registered or claiming to be registered as a resident or an accustomed member, must be an annual subscriber of a sum not less than £50 per annum to the Sustentation Fund of the Parish of which he or she wishes to be a vestry member.”

SICK & BEREAVED: If you know of any parishioners who have been unwell recently, bereaved or who would appreciate a home visit please let the Rector know.
