PLAYMORE 2: We would very much like to try and get our Parent and Toddler Group up and running again before Christmas. There have been many enquiries about when it is starting again but we can’t do anything without leaders. Anyone who would be willing and able to help with the Group should speak to the Rector or Churchwardens. Thanks.

SHOE BOX APPEAL: The Bible Study in conjunction with Drop Inn Ministries would like to encourage individuals and families to take part in the special Team Hope Christmas Shoebox Appeal. All we ask is that you fill a shoebox with some small gifts for a child for Christmas and Team Hope will deliver them to Eastern Europe or Africa. Boxes must be received by the charity before the 9th November so we would ask that all boxes from Ballymore be brought to Church by next Sunday (4th November). We have some shoeboxes in the baptistry to start people off and beside them you will also find a leaflet with information about what to include in your shoebox. Your help with this project would be very much appreciated. Every box is important because every child is important!

BLACK BAG COLLECTION: As we move into another season we are again holding a black bag collection to raise money for Parish Funds. Bags of unwanted clothes, paired shoes and curtains can be left in the porch of the Parish Hall anytime during the next few weeks. No ripped or dirty clothes, ladies boots, quilts or pillows please. Thanks.

REMEMBRANCE SUNDAY: This year it will be exactly 100 years on 11th November since the Armistice was signed marking the end of the First World War. Ballymore will be very much central to the local commemorations on Remembrance Sunday. The Act of Remembrance will take place at the Tandragee War Memorial at 10.45am and afterwards the Parade will make its way to Ballymore Parish Church for Morning Service. In the evening at 6.55pm, as part of the National Tribute, the Last Post will be sounded in Church and then at 7.05pm the bells will be rung to mark the “Battle’s Over”. There will be then be a short Service of Reflection and Remembrance.

WEEKLY ANNOUNCEMENT SHEET: Information and articles to be included on the weekly announcement sheet should be sent to the Parish email address by Thursday evening. Thanks.

DIOCESAN MISSION: During the weekend of 16th – 18th November there will be a Diocesan Mission. In Ballymore we will be linked with Mullavilly Parish, the Acton Group of Parishes and the Louth Parishes. On the Saturday there will be a trip to the Boyne Centre and to one of the Parishes in Louth. Then on Sunday 18th November at 11am there will be a special celebration of Holy Communion in Ballymore when the celebrant and preacher will be the Archbishop of Dublin. We will also be joined that morning by parishioners from the other churches in our mission group. At 3.15pm there will then be a special diocesan celebration Service in St Patrick’s Cathedral to which everyone is invited.
