HOLY COMMUNION: We are delighted to have the Archbishop of Armagh with us this morning as the celebrant and preacher at Holy Communion.

SCRIPTURE READINGS: Today being the first Sunday of Advent sees the start of the new Church year. It also means that we begin a new cycle of readings within the Revised Common Lectionary. This is now Year C, which means in our Gospel readings we will concentrate on St Luke’s account of the Gospel.

CHARITY CAROL SERVICE will take place this evening (Sunday 2nd December) at 7pm in Ballymore. This year’s nominated charity is the Williams Syndrome Foundation UK. Poyntzpass Silver Band will lead the singing of the carols and will be joined by the choir of Tandragee Primary School along with our own Parish Choir.

SELECT VESTRY will meet tomorrow evening (Monday 3rd) at 8pm in the Parish Room.

CHOIR PRACTICE: Wednesday evening at 7.30pm in Church for both the Parish Choir and Junior Choir.

WALKMORE: The Parish Walking Club will meet on Wednesday 5th December for a walk around Lurgan Park. Please meet at the Church Car Park at 10am. The walk is weather permitting!!!

SENIOR CITIZENS’ CHRISTMAS PARTY: Saturday 8th December at 5pm (dinner will be served at 5.30pm). Please put the date in your diary and pass on an invitation to any of the older members of our congregation. If you intend to be present please add your name to the list in the Church porch to assist us with the catering arrangements. Thanks.

TOY SERVICE will take place next Sunday (9th December) at 11am and all the members of S-Club will be taking part. Could all the children please be in Church before 10.40am to allow time for everyone to get dressed in their costumes before the Service starts. Thanks. At S-Club we continue to teach the importance of sharing what we have with others and how it is more important to give than to receive at Christmas time. Each family within S-Club is asked to provide a gift worth no more than £10 which will be distributed among the children in care within the Southern Health and Social Care Trust area. The present should be unwrapped. These gifts make a huge difference to the young people in care at Christmas time.

CHURCH ATTENDANCE AWARDS will be presented next Sunday at the Toy Service to those children who completed their cards and submitted them in September.

CHRISTMAS CARDS: We have some Parish Christmas cards available featuring different designs of the interior and exterior of the Church and stained glass windows. Cards are priced at £4 per pack (10 cards) and can be found in the baptistery. Money can be left in the basket. Thanks.

OPEN DOOR CLUB will meet on Thursday 13th December at 2pm in the Minor Hall for some Christmas music and mince pies. New members welcome.
