S-CLUB starts back this morning and we look forward to welcoming everyone back after the Christmas holidays. Family Service will be on Sunday 20th January at 11am.

SELECT VESTRY will meet tomorrow evening, Monday 7th January, at 8pm in the Parish Room.

GFS: The new season for the Girls’ Friendly Society starts on Wednesday 9th January at 6.15pm in the Parish Hall.

OPEN DOOR CLUB: The first meeting of 2019 will be held on Thursday 10th January. Please meet at the hall at 1.15pm to arrange cars to take us to Bannville House for our annual lunch.

BIBLE STUDY / PRAYER GROUP will meet in the Parish Room on Thursday (10th January) at 7.30pm for a time of prayer followed by a Bible Study at 8pm. New members will be made very welcome.

DATE FOR YOUR DIARY: Sunday 3rd February at 7pm – GOSPEL CONCERT in Ballymore. Printed invitations available from members of the Select Vestry. Please pass these on to your neighbours and friends and assure them of a warm welcome.

FLOWER LIST: The new flower list for 2019 is on the notice board in the Church porch. Please check it and if anyone wishes to change a date please let me know. Also we do have a lot of vacancies if anyone would like to take a space. Thank you. Beth Wortley.

BLACK BAG COLLECTION: This will be the final week of our black bag collection. Bags of unwanted clothes, paired shoes and curtains can therefore be left in the porch of the Parish Hall anytime during the week. No ripped or dirty clothes, ladies boots, quilts or pillows please. Thanks.

BIBLE READING GUIDES: Copies of ‘Daily Bread’ for January – March, the Scripture Union Bible reading guide, are now available. The four quarterly copies cost £18, (£4.50 each). Money should be placed in a marked envelope and given to the churchwardens or me by 6th January. *Please let me know soon, if you no longer wish to receive the guides. *If you would like to consider using the guide, a sample copy (snowdrops on cover) is on the porch table for you to have a look at. AMBASSADOR MAGAZINE: There are some spare copies of the Ambassador (the Armagh Diocesan Magazine) which are on the table in the Church porch. Anyone who is interested in getting a regular copy of the magazine is welcome to take one of the spare magazines. Magazine orders should be given to Mrs Joanne Craig. Thanks.

FOODBANK: Our recent Christmas collection for the Foodbank was gratefully received with 48.1Kgs of food donated by members of the Parish. These food items have now been sent off to the Foodbank in Craigavon for distribution. Many thanks to the members of the Ballymore Branch of the Mothers’ Union for looking after the food collection and to everyone for their generosity.

FRIDAY NIGHT LIVE 2019 “Generation to Generation.” You are warmly invited to the SAMS (Ireland) annual event in the Craigavon Civic Centre on Friday 1st February at 7.30pm. There will be exciting stories of God at work in South America. People taking part: Revd Paul Harcourt, Terry Barratt, Claire Holmes and Teams from summer 2018. Refreshments will be served afterwards. Everyone welcome.

SAFEGUARDING TRUST: Our Parish is committed to the Church of Ireland Safeguarding Trust policy which sets standards for the welfare of all children involved in the ministry of the church with a view to protecting them. The parish panel members to whom any concerns can be brought to are the Rector, Garry Morton and Mrs Ann Poole. Their contact details are displayed on the notice boards in the Church and Parish Hall.

FREEWILL OFFERING & GIFT AID: Any parishioners who do not currently use Freewill Offering envelopes or monthly Standing Order and would like to do so, please contact Mrs Ann Liggett or Tom McCord. Gift Aid allows the Parish to claim back 25% on Freewill Offerings or Donations from the Revenue Authorities when the donor pays at least the amount of Income Tax as the Gift Aid claimed in the relevant year. If you do not currently Gift Aid your offering and wish to do so, please do get in touch. For those who presently Gift Aid, thank you for your additional support. Please make sure you notify us should you no longer pay income tax, change your name or address, so that our records are up to date.

HOSPITAL VISITING: Please inform the Rector if you are going into hospital or you are aware of any parishioner who has been admitted and would appreciate a visit. Due to patient confidentiality clergy no longer have access to the denominational list of patients and are therefore often unaware of parishioners having been admitted to hospital. It would also be appreciated if the Rector could be notified when those in hospital are discharged or transferred to another hospital. Thanks.
