CHOIR PRACTICE for the Harvest on Wednesday evening (9th October) from
7.30pm – 8.15pm for the Junior Choir and Parish Choir.

OPEN DOOR CLUB will meet in the Minor Hall on Thursday 10th October at 2pm.
New members will be made very welcome.

BIBLE STUDY / PRAYER GROUP will meet in the Parish Room on Thursday 10th
October at 7.30pm for a time of prayer followed by a Bible Study at 8pm. New
members will be made very welcome.

THE WOMEN’S INSTITUTE which now meets on a monthly basis in Ballymore
Parish Hall, would like to extend an invitation to all ladies in the Parish to come along
and join them on Thursday 10th October at 8pm in the Minor Hall.

BALLYMORE BOWLING CLUB: Thursday 10th October at 7pm in the Parish
Hall. Fun bowls for all ages and everyone is welcome. Come along and try it!

BLACK BAG COLLECTION: Bags of unwanted clothes etc. can be left in the porch of
the Parish Hall anytime during the next few weeks. All money raised will go to GFS funds.

DATES FOR YOUR DIARY: Harvest Weekend 18th – 20th October with the Annual Fry
Night on Saturday 19th October from 5.30pm – 7pm.

COUNTRY & GOSPEL CONCERT in Ballymore Parish Hall on Thursday 7th November
at 7.45pm sharp (Doors open 7pm). Compere: Brian Johnston. Featuring: Barry Stuart,
Boxcar Brian, Eugene O’Dornan, Katie McParland and Country Harmony. Tickets: £10.
Proceeds in aid of Alzheimer’s & Dementia and Church Funds.

SHOE BOX APPEAL: The Bible Study in conjunction with Drop Inn Ministries would
like to encourage individuals and families to take part again this year in the special Team
Hope Christmas Shoebox Appeal. All we ask is that you fill a shoebox with some small
gifts for a child for Christmas and Team Hope will deliver them to Eastern Europe or Africa.
All boxes from Ballymore should be brought to Church before Sunday 3rd November. You
will find leaflets with information about what to include in your shoebox on the table in the
Church porch. Your help and support with this project is very much appreciated.

CLARE PARISH HARVEST THANKSGIVING: Sunday 13th October at 3.30pm. As
well as the Church being decorated for Harvest, the Church Hall will also be open for
afternoon tea and refreshments after the Service. The Preacher will be the Revd Canon
Brian Blacoe. Everyone welcome.

FOOD BANK: As part of our Harvest Thanksgiving weekend celebrations later in the
month, parishioners are encouraged to donate some items of shopping from the list below
to be included in a donation to our nearest Food Bank. Milk (UHT or powdered), Sugar
(500g), Fruit juice (Long life carton), Soup, Pasta sauces, Sponge pudding (tinned), Tinned
Tomatoes, Cereals, Tinned Rice pudding, Tea Bags/Instant Coffee, Instant mash potato,
Rice/pasta, Tinned meat/fish, Tinned fruit, Jam, Biscuits or snack bar. Also gifts of pet food
will be gratefully received for “creatures great and small” who are part of families where
there is financial hardship at this time.
