THY KINGDOM COME
Many of you may know of the “Thy Kingdom Come” initiative begun a couple of years ago by the Archbishop of Canterbury – the ten days between Ascension Day and Pentecost, when Christians would give special time and attention to prayer that God’s Kingdom might become ever more apparent and that God’s will might be done on earth. The Church of Ireland is going to become involved in this global wave of prayer this year. Parishioners are therefore asked to pray especially during the ten days (10th – 20th May) for the world and the extension of God’s kingdom – it can be in Church or at home. Church is open each day from 9am to 4pm for private prayer.

THANK YOU FROM NOLA
With the money parishioners have sent to Nola in recent months she has been able to financially support the following:

  • Uniforms for poor pupils at Mnyokane School,
  • A wonderful, but struggling, S.U. home, near Bulawayo, for teenagers, where they are developing a market garden,
  • Frances, with her tireless support of people in dire straits in the poorest parts of this community
  • Orma Mavimbela for her four Care Points.

Thank you for your kindness and generosity and for the huge difference you have made in the lives of so many people.
