Trip to the Somme

 

WW1 REMEMBERED
with Mullavilly Parish Church
24th – 27th September 2020

It is hoped to plan a trip to the Somme and surrounding area in
September 2020.
This will initially be for members of Mullavilly Parish Church
who have maybe never been before, and depending on interest
it will then also be opened up to other local churches in the Rural Deanery.
There will be places for 42+ people.

An information evening is being organised on Wednesday 25th September at 7.30pm, to give more details, and for people to then confirm their interest.

Spanbroekmolen Crater, Island of Ireland Peace Park,
Site of the 1914 Christmas Tree Truce, Hill 60, Beaumont Hamel,
Thiepval Memorial to the Missing, Ulster Tower, Lochnagar Crater,
Devonshire Trench Cemetery, Delville Wood, Pozieres,
Canadian Memorial at Courcelette, Butte de Warlencourt.
Essex Farm Cemetery, John McCrae Memorial, Artillery Wood Cemetery, Langemark. Polygon Wood, Tyne Cot Cemetery, Passchendaele
